Seedream 5.0 Pro prompts — miniature worlds, glass and watercolor
Run three sourced creative prompts in 1K, inspect our Seedream Pro results and compare the same tasks with Nano Banana 2.1.
A miniature film set, a glass willow and a watercolor transformation test three different jobs: scene construction, material rendering and image editing. We took ready-made community prompts and ran them through API Stock at 1K. The paired comparison with Nano Banana 2.1 uses the same prompts and one common editing source.
What to build
| Task | What to inspect | Starting settings |
|---|---|---|
| A miniature Hollywood diorama | Recognisable miniature scale, buildings, cameras and sign | size: "16:9", resolution: "1K" |
| A glass willow sculpture | Transparent branches, refraction and colored light on the surface | size: "3:4", resolution: "1K" |
| A watercolor version of a scene | Change of medium and which landmarks survive | Same source in urls, 16:9, 1K |
Which model, and when
Seedream 5.0 Pro supports generation and editing
at 1K or 2K here. It does not offer 4K in this integration. Start at 1K
to evaluate a brief before spending on a higher tier.
Nano Banana 2.1 supports 1K, 2K and 4K.
Our comparison uses 1K for both models; it establishes no result for a
higher-resolution run. Both accept references in urls.
Prompt structure you can reuse
The community examples separate subject → medium or material → composition → lighting. The edit replaces that detailed scene description with a short instruction about the medium. Check which visible requirements survive that shorter instruction; a request for watercolor alone does not lock geometry.
The prompts below are quotations, with their sources. They were published for other tools or models; our images are new runs on the exact versions named here. We do not reuse the source posts' images or treat their results as evidence about these models.
Recipe 1: a miniature Hollywood diorama
Settings: size: "16:9", resolution: "1K", outputFormat: "png".
textMiniature diorama scene of classic Hollywood, handcrafted scale model on a tabletop: tiny palm trees, a small hillside with the HOLLYWOOD sign, miniature Art Deco movie studio facade, little film cameras on doll-sized tripods, tiny red-carpet entrance with velvet ropes, small vintage cars, warm streetlamps, realistic miniature textures (painted stucco, flocking grass, weathered asphalt), dust motes, shallow depth of field, tilt-shift macro photography look, hyper-detailed, charming and whimsical, cinematic golden-hour lighting
The prompt field is quoted unchanged from the linked comment. We retained its 16:9 ratio, but did not send the original JSON's separate negative prompt, seed, quality, camera or style fields: they are not public inputs of this API.

Seedream rendered the hillside sign, a row of small film cameras and cars, with a warm, close view of the studio. Its shallow focus softens the nearest car and foreground; inspect small props at the size you plan to publish.
Fill the Seedream diorama example. Review the quote and start it yourself; the link only fills the form.
Recipe 2: a glass willow sculpture
Settings: size: "3:4", resolution: "1K", outputFormat: "png".
textA hyper-realistic, optically pure glass sculpture of a willow tree, meticulously detailed, defined only by the extreme light refraction and volumetric caustics passing through it. The sculpture should be placed on a simple black velvet background, catching golden hour light, creating mesmerizing, rainbow-hued patterns on the surface beneath. Shot on 100mm macro lens, shallow depth of field, minimalist and elegant.
This is the source's variable template with four choices filled in: a willow tree, simple black velvet, golden hour, 100mm macro. We normalised the template's line break to a space. Both models received this same resolved prompt.

The tree is recognisably glass, with a broad clear trunk, drooping leaves and colored light on the velvet. The strong amber lighting makes some branches read almost gold. Check transparency as well as shininess; this picture is not a physical optics measurement.
Fill the Seedream glass example.
Recipe 3: turn the diorama into watercolor
Both models receive the Seedream diorama from Recipe 1, rather than separate scenes. Download that original.
Settings: size: "16:9", resolution: "1K", outputFormat: "png",
the original image in urls.
textThis is too crisp for me—can you blur it into a soft, flowy watercolor? I’m craving that dreamy, artsy feel.
The source's Watercolor Painting Style instruction is quoted unchanged.

Seedream turns the scene into soft washes on textured paper while keeping the recognisable facade and sign. Additional cars appear on the road, and a washed edge replaces the board boundary. A short medium-change request did not lock the object inventory.
Fill the Seedream watercolor edit.
When a result misses the brief
| Problem | A useful next iteration |
|---|---|
| A miniature scene looks full-size | State the tabletop boundary and miniature material explicitly |
| Glass reads as opaque metal | Name transparency and check background visibility through the object |
| Fine branches merge | Simplify the subject or test a higher tier on the same brief |
| An edit changes the layout | Return to the approved source and name the landmarks to preserve |
| A sign is malformed | Add the final lettering in a layout tool when exact text is essential |
These are suggested next steps, not tested fixes or measured failure rates. The comparison records what our six outputs actually show.
Run Seedream Pro through the API
Copy a full prompt above for its actual brief. This short request shows the format; it is not the prompt that produced the diorama example:
curl -X POST https://api.api-stock.com/api/v1/generation/create \-H "Authorization: Bearer $API_STOCK_KEY" \-H "Content-Type: application/json" \-d '{"model": "seedream-5-0-pro","input": {"prompt": "A miniature film set on a tabletop in warm evening light.","size": "16:9","resolution": "1K","outputFormat": "png"}}'
Read data.taskId, then poll that ID rather than creating the request again:
curl "https://api.api-stock.com/api/v1/task/status/$TASK_ID" \-H "Authorization: Bearer $API_STOCK_KEY"
When data.status is finished, download data.files[0].fileUrl. An edit
adds "urls": ["https://example.com/source.png"] inside input. Replace
that address with your accessible source. One request asks for one result.
See tasks and webhooks for delivery and terminal states.
Parameters and cost
size is the aspect ratio. resolution uses uppercase 1K or 2K.
outputFormat accepts jpeg or png; we used png for Seedream.
promptOptimizeMode applies to the older Seedream 4.5 and is omitted here.
The model page lists the current input schema.
On 19 October 2026, Seedream Pro's public USD rate was $0.042 at
1K and $0.084 at 2K. The first reference is included; each additional
reference adds $0.004. Thus each of our one-reference 1K edits has the same
catalogue price as a text-only 1K request. Ten such requests budget $0.42.
The formula is resolution tariff + max(0, reference count − 1) × $0.004.
The editorial account received $0 quotes and recorded $0 costs for all six tasks. The prices above are public-rate budget calculations, separate from that account’s conditions. Check your own quote in the playground, then inspect the same-task comparison before choosing a route for a batch.
